Call for Submissions
2007 Call for Submissions: Submissions (Papers, Tutorials, Technical Presentations, Technical Briefs, and Posters) and Student Submissions (Papers and Posters)

The 8th LCI International Conference on High-Performance Clustered Computing is organized by the Linux Clusters Institute (LCI) for users, administrators and developers of clustered computers for high-performance computing (HPC). The conference will be held in South Lake Tahoe, California, USA at the Embassy Suites.

This conference is the premier international forum to share information on management, administration, and scientific computing techniques on clusters. The 4-day event, including conference and tutorials, will feature a broad range of presentations and papers from HPC and large-scale cluster-computing professionals in industry, academia, and government. Speakers will address efforts to integrate and develop science and engineering applications for large-scale clusters, to achieve maximum performance and scalability.

The technical program will include both peer-reviewed papers and discipline- and industry-specific presentions offering researchers and industry leaders the opportunity to present their experiences with applications, tools, user environments, and administration of large-scale clusters. Presentations from industry are specifically invited.

The conference program committee is soliciting novel papers, insightful technical presentations and practical tutorials on a broad range of topics related to systems integration, operation and support, end-user applications, tools, education and experiences.

This year’s conference plans to have a session devoted to high-resolution environmental modeling with talks pertinent to environmental concerns in the Lake Tahoe basin and the Sierras and a session on education topics, such as teaching clustered computing and undergraduate and graduate programs that feature clustered computing. The committee encourages submissions in these areas.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • High-Resolution Environmental Modeling
  • Snow, Snow Pack, and Avalanche Prediction
  • Forest Fire and Forest Management Modeling
