Requirements

NOTE: If you submit an application, do NOT register for the workshop until after a decision has been made and you have been notified. This will take place well in advance of the early registration deadline.

Applications for scholarship for the 2026 Intermediate Advanced Workshop are open.

Submit the following details by March 27, 2026

  1. Contact Information (name, email and contact number)
  2. Statement of need
  3. Detail your current HPC experience
  4. How will you benefit from attending this workshop

Evaluation Criteria for the Charlie Bender Scholarship:

  1. The applicant should have at least one year experience as a Linux cluster sysadmin.
  2. The applicant either should already be employed as a Linux cluster sysadmin, or should aspire to become employed as a Linux cluster sysadmin in the near future, in either case with Linux cluster system administration as a key component of their position, preferably their primary role.
  3. The applicant should demonstrate that obtaining funding from other sources to participate in the workshop for which they are applying would be impractical and should clarify why.

All candidates will be reviewed by the LCI Steering Committee and decisions will be informed to the candidates, along with next steps on how to register for the workshop.
